The Saudara Cup is an annual three day match played between Malaysia and Singapore. One of the meanings of the word "Saudara" in Bahasa Melayu is "kinship". This was the founding ideal on which the Saudara Cup was started in 1970.

The 42nd edition of the Saudara Cup hosted this year by the Malaysian Cricket Association played over the weekend at the Kinrara Cricket Academy, KL, Malaysia, ended in a draw at the end of the three days play. The Saudara Cup started in 1970 is an annual three day match played between Malaysia and Singapore.

Hosts Malaysia, won the toss and elected to bat on their own turf and posted a total of 254 for 6 at the end of the allotted 75 overs in the first innings. Md Shafiq Sharif top scored for Malaysia and Pramodh Raja picked up 2 for 42 for Singapore. In reply a predominantly young Singapore side posted a total of 295 for 4 in 75 overs which included a 150 plus partnership between Anish Param(137 not out) and Varun Shivaram(68).

Having taken a lead of 41 runs, Singapore could not restrict Malaysia on what seems to be a batting track. Malaysia finished their second innings for 307 all out in 94.1 overs. Shuharril Fetri (72) top scored for Malaysia with support from Arifin Ramly (55); Again Pramodh Raja (2 for 66) aided by Chethan Suryawanshi (2 for 51) were the wicket takers. Having left with only 22 overs in the third days play, Singapore could only manage to play 15 overs before the match was declared close by the umpires with the score board reading 37 for 3.

Anish Param for his unbeaten 137 not out and an 150 plus rn partnership with Varun Shivaram were the standout players for the Singapore team in the absence of many senior players who could not make it for this game due to work commitments.
So far Malaysia has won 13 editions of the Saudara Cup whilst Singapore has won 8 and the remainder have been drawn.
