As part of the SCA's vision to create an awareness of the sport in Singapore through the Discover Cricket Program, SCA took part in the Rise & Shine Carnival at The Lawn @ Marina Bay on Sunday, March 3rd to promote the game to the participants of the carnival.

The Rise and Shine Carnival was the largest breakfast picnic carnival in Singapore with over 1,900 people including parents and young children turning up for the event on a lovely Sunday morning. The Carnival set the record for the largest breakfast picnic turnout in the Singapore Book of Records. Dr Amy Khor, Minister of State, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Manpower was the guest of honour at the event.

SCA coaches and national players who took part in the carnival got the participating kids involved in the basics of the game, getting the kids excited with bat and the ball. The next Rise and Shine Carnival will be held in September.
