RI beats ACS (I) to lift the CCAB A DIVISION Nationals Title

Cricket at school is an ambitious program which is part of Singapore Cricket Association Mission- and an important component in the development of the game in the Singapore. 

One of the objectives of the SCA Mission is to produce cricketer at the national level, who would represent the country in the coming years who may ' do the nation proud'.

It is a well known fact that cricket development has to start from a young age. 

To achieve this SCA helps in organizing the MOE affiliated,  CCAB A,B & C Division tournaments for the local Schools.

The CCAB A DIVISION NATIONALS FINALS between ACS (INDEPENDENT) and RI was played at CSC on 21 May 2015

ACS won the toss and elected to bat.


ACS(INDEPENDENT) got off to a steady start but after that kept losing wickets in regular succession. Only skipper Suhas Sahu, Anish, Raj and Hassan managed to get into double digits but they all got out after getting set. The RI bowling was accurate with Kaushik Elango the pick of the bowlers with 4/16.

ACS bowlers started off by bowling very poorly and let the RI batsmen take charge.Amin and Kaushik took charge and scored at a rapid pace. Kaushik got out with just 1 run left to win and RI were deserving winners by 9 wickets.

ACS(INDEPENDENT) 88 in 20 overs.
Suhas Sahu 18, Hassan 14. Kaushik 4/16, Vinay Gupta 2/20, Mohd. Ameen 2/12.

RI 89/1 in 6.2 overs.
Mohd Ameen 52 NO, Kaushik 24.

RI won by 9 Wickets.


In the match for 3rd place at IA, SAJC defeated VJC.


SAJC 132/6 in 20 overs.
Pin Sern 51NO, Senthil Araavind 33, Raj 3/28.

VJC 132/7 in 20 overs.  
Athrarv 64 NO, Abhinav Ramnath 2/14.

SAJC won by losing fewer wicket.

The prize presentation ceremony was conducted by Irwan Wijaya the cricket convenor from St. Patrick’s School.


Mr. Adolphus Tan Principal St. Patrick School was the GOH for the finals and gave away the medals and trophies to all the  4 teams.
