SCA B DIVISION 8 A SIDE TOURNAMENT 2015

The CHAMPIONS, ACS (Independent) with their trophies


The SCA B Division (U17) tournament was held as a prelude to the CCAB B Division tournament.

In total 10 teams took part. They were divided into 2 groups of 5 teams each with the top 2 from each group playing in the SF.   

Group A:
RI 1
Victoria 1
ACS (Ind) 2
St. Patricks
St. Andrews 2

Group B:
ACS (Ind) 1
RI 2
Victoria 2
St. Andrews 1
Ping Yi


After the group stage, four teams moved on to the knockout stage and the Semi Finals line up was as follows:
SF1: Victoria 1 v Victoria 2
SF2: ACS(IND) 1 v  RI 1


Victoria 1 defeated Victoria 2 in the first SF by 9 runs.
While, ACS (Independent) beat a strong RI 1 team by 7 runs to make it to the final.

In the 3rd place match RI 1 defeated Victoria 2 by 27 runs.

Victoria 1 won the toss in the final and elected to field. ACS (I) got off to a good start powered by good knocks form Siddant, Yuvraj and Somil. They managed to score 71/1 in their allotted 7 overs. Victoria 1 tried their best but could only muster 54/3 and thus, losing by 17 runs. The ACS (I) boys dominated the game in all aspects and were the deserving Champions.

The GOH for the finals Mr. Harish Dongre (Vice President, SCA), spoke briefly congratulating all the teams for taking part and gave away the trophies for the Champions and the Runners-up teams.
 
Mr. Saad Khan Janjua (Director of Operations, SCA) was in attendance for most part of the matches and gave away the trophies for the 3rd and 4th placed teams.
 
Based on the feedback from the participants as well as the school teachers, the tournament was very successful and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
 
SCA would like to thank IA & CSC clubs for providing their grounds, the grounds men, Umpires and Scorers and all the Schools for contributing to the success of this tournament.
